perché sa di morire e conosce la superiorità che l'universo ha su di lui; l'universo non ne sa nulla.
Tutta la nostra dignità consiste dunque nel pensiero.
E lì che dobbiamo elevarci, e non nello spazio e nel tempo che non sapremmo riempire.
Lavoriamo dunque a ben pensare: ecco il principio della morale".
