Paolo Coelho

The warrior of light is concentrated on small miracles of everyday life.
See if he knows what is beautiful is because it has the beauty inside,
because the world is a mirror that refers to every man the reflection of her face.
Paulo Coelho, from "The Warrior of Light"

...Luigi Tenco...

Io sono uno che parla troppo poco,
questo è vero,
ma nel mondo c’è tanta gente
che parla, parla, parla sempre,
che pretende di farsi sentire,
e non ha niente da dire.
(Luigi Tenco)

I am one who speaks too little,
this is true,
but there are many people in the world
who speaks, speaks, speaks always
which claims to be heard,
and has nothing to say.

Anna writes, July 15, 1944:

It's really wonderful that I have not dropped all my ideals because they seem so absurd and impossible.
Yet I cling to them because, despite everything, I still believe that people are really good heart.
I simply can not build my hopes on the confusion, the misery and death.
I see the world gradually turns into an inhospitable land, I hear the approaching thunder which will destroy us too, I can feel the suffering of millions of people, but if I look at the sky up there, I think everything will be in place, that this cruelty will end and return peace and quiet.
